In the winter, the men wore heavy robes made from buffal skins, with knee high boots made from buffalo skins. Their leggings had fringes. They decorated their leggings and shirts with patterns, designs, and beads. Women wore deerskin dresses trimmed with fringes along the sleeves. They had designs with beads and patterns. They also wore buckskin moccasins. |

| ARTS AND CRAFTS: They made baskets, wove rugs carved wood and worked with metal. They depended on the buffalo for most of their tools, household goods and weapons. They made saddles, knife cases, rattles, drums, buckets and moccasins. They used buckskin to make blankets, cribs, dolls, and pouches. |
